Should You Buy A Fake Ipod?:

So you've been shopping around in your local tech market or on eBay and you've seen some fake iPods. But is it really worth buying one. I will outline the positives and negatives of Fake iPod's and let you decide if you want one. 

Positives

• Cheap - Fake iPods are very cheap  mp3 players that play music and look like the real thing, so your not going to spend much money to get one.
• Sometimes has additional features - Some fake iPod's have additional features from the real versions. For example FM radio. 
• Decent Audio Quality - Fake iPod's usually play audio quality good enough for kids and adults. It mainly depends on what fake iPod you get.

Negatives

• Audio Quality - Don't be gettin' fake iPod's if your looking for audio quality. The audio usually sucks and the earphones that come with it are just as bad. Your going to get far better results from a Sony Walkman or a legitimate iPod.
• Interface - The interface on Fake iPod's is usually pretty terrible and the screen quality isn't usually very good. The interface can be annoying to use but kids often like to see how things work and this  makes it a good option. 
• Some features don't work very well - Playing videos on fake iPod's are a bad idea as the quality wont be very good. You also have to convert the videos to the size of the screen and special formats of video where converters can be hard to find. Pictures don't come out very good either and camera's on fake iPod touches are usually only 1 or 2 megapixels. 
• Can't use iTunes to sync to fake iPod - Some people hate iTunes so this feature won't bother them but you have to use other software for syncing to fake iPod's (read: Software For Fake Ipods).
• The scroll wheel won't work - The scroll wheel on iPod Nano's and classics wont scroll instead you will have to press the buttons.

Conclusion: Fake iPods are good for kids and are very cheap but should not be used as a central media device.
